Alison and I had the best month together in Australia. I didn’t know the young 19 year old who was too shy to speak English. By the time she left to go home she could speak to me with no problem. (went to France and year later and she was too shy to speak English again. She isn’t now thankfully. I haven’t learned how to speak French yet. I keep meaning to. I need to be immersed I think.
